INTRODUCTION

This very practical Training of Trainers will build on your current skills and boost your confidence to train any audience, whether training is your profession or something you do occasionally. The TOT involves participants in a thorough, multi-day distributive learning process that develops the expertise necessary to successfully prepare educators to deliver.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participants should be able to:

  • Learn the fundamentals of adult learning theory and instructional design methodology;
  • Gain a foundation for conducting training needs analyses; developing learning objectives; and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives;
  • Learn and apply effective training/facilitation techniques for managing participants, engaging a variety of learning styles, and creating an effective, positive learning environment.

  • How to do a Training Needs Assessment (TNA): Concept and tools
  • Defining objectives and course structure- Setting up the evaluation system (satisfaction, learning, transfer and impact)

Supporting transfer and integration

  • A coaching approach: training / mentoring / coaching
  • Challenges and opportunities of transferring and embedding learning
  • Tools, techniques and skills for supporting trainees
  • Basic coaching model

Course follow-up

  • Practicing the model
  • Plan of action, implementation and support

  • Our seasoned instructors, who have years of experience as seasoned professionals in their respective fields of work, will be teaching this course. A combination of practical exercises, theory, group projects, and case studies are used to teach the course.
