INTRODUCTION

Through gaining a thorough understanding of the procedures, nature, motivations, and behaviors of individuals and groups in organizations, this program aims to assist managers (potential and developing managers), supervisors, executives, and others to manage more effectively and to improve organizational performance.

Understanding the interaction between people and organizations, as well as the social structures that exist and change inside them, is crucial for managers. With this information, they can make decisions and put controls in place that will have the greatest positive impact on the organization's workforce as well as its employees. Understanding the elements influencing employee commitment and managing organizational culture and climate contribute to managerial and organizational development and effectiveness, which in turn improves the organization's outlook and capacity to adapt to change.

Managers will be able to make the best use of people as valuable resources to the mutual benefit of all organizational stakeholders by having an understanding of the processes and relationships in work organizations, of management, and of people's behavior at work.
